Weather Forecast
Every experienced sailor knows that constant care about the weather is crucial not only for safety, but for the comfort of the crew as well. Skipper should carefuly listen to and analize weather forecast at least twice every day. Today we have many ways to stay well informed: television and radio , internet, cellular network, weather-fax and ship's VHF.
Current weather report for Adriatic is broadcast by Naval Meteorological Center Split at the specified GMT (+ 1h) on the channels of coastal radio stations. The report is updated at 5.00h, 12.00h and 18.00h, and relates to first twelve hours and second twelve hours counting from the hour of update.
Port authorities also broadcast weather reports and warnings constantly. The report is given on four languages with a short break between cycles. It is updated four times a day.
